The election and the appointment took place in December. Dr Jesús Colprim succeeds Dr Victòria Salvadó, dean of the Faculty during two mandates between 2008 and 2016.
Located at UdG Campus Montilivi, the Faculty of Sciences hosts four Bachelor studies (Biology, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences and Chemistry) and five Master studies (Molecular Biology and Biomedicien, Water Science and Technology, Environmental Change: Analysis and Management, Advanced Catalysis and Molecular Modelisation, and the Interuniversity Master in Applied Chromatographic Techniques). The Faculty is also headquarter of three university departments (Biology, Environmental Sciences and Chemistry) and three research institutes (Institute of the Environment, Institute of Aquatic Ecology, and the Institute of Computational Chemistry and Catalysis).
Jesús Colprim Galceran (Banyoles, 1968) holds a Master in Chemical Sciences from UAB (1991) and a doctorate in Industrial Engineering from UdG (1998). Currently, he is tenured university professor of chemical engineering at UdG and head of LEQUIA research group.
