The IWA Specialist Conference “Global Challenges: Sustainable Wastewater Treatment and Resource Recovery” will be held from 26 to 30th October in Kathmandu (Nepal). The theme, sustainable wastewater and resource recovery, provides for a critical and timely forum for bringing together scholars, leaders, and practitioners to discuss research and practice impacting wastewater sustainability. The conference is supported by two IWA specialist groups: Nutrient Removal and Recovery, and Resource Oriented Sanitation.
LEQUIA researchers will contribute to the conference with two oral presentations on sewage sludge treatment and nitrous oxide emissions measurement:
- “The Syngas Platform: Transforming sewage sludge into products with added value”, Ramon Ganigué, Sara Ramió, Patricia Sánchez, Lluís Bañeras and Jesús Colprim.
- “Measuring Nitrous Oxide Emissions from Biological Wastewater Treatment, Art or Science?”, José Porro, Maite Pijuan, Marlies Kampschreur, Eveline Volcke, Matthys Daeluran, Ingmar Nopens, Peter Vanrolleghem, Kartik Chandran, Zhiguo Yuan, Sudhir Murthy.
