The annual Leading-Edge Conference on Water and Wastewater Technologies (LET2013) is focused specifically on advances and developments in water and wastewater technologies. This 10th edition will host a SANITAS workshop session moderated by LEQUIA professor Dr. Joaquim Comas. The workshop will be held in Bordeaux (France) on June 2nd 2013.
The workshop is organized in the framework of the European project SANITAS “Sustainable and Integrated Urban Water System” (www.sanitas-itn.eu) funded by EU under the PEOPLE program – Marie Curie Initial Training Network. The aim is to comprehensively address the possibilities of rethinking the management of the Urban Water System (UWS) in the context of emerging challenges (i.e. GHC, micropollutants, nutrient recovery, energy optimization/recovery, water reuse, etc.). The workshop will encourage the debate around the potential contribution of SANITAS research to a more sustainable UWS management from three broad perspectives: (1) modeling, (2) control and (3) decision support systems and multicriteria analysis.
Additionally, LEQUIA researchers will present the following poster in the congress:
- Gabarró, J., Anfruns, A., Puig, S., Gonzalez-Olmos, R., Mora, X., Ruscalleda, M., Balaguer, M.D. and Colprim, J. "Coupling advanced chemical and biological technologies for extremely high contaminated mature landfill leachate".
